Myokinesthetic System

What is the Myokinesthetic System?

The Myokinesthetic System is a relatively new soft tissue treatment developed by Michael Uriarte D.C. that specifically treats the nervous system. It is geared to impact the nervous system in a specific way. You don’t have to get undressed and there are NO oils or creams, it only takes about 20-25 minutes and is customized to your specific complaint.

Cause and Compensation

When there is a injury to one side of the body the other side of the body must compensate to keep the body The brain must then tell other muscles to either contract or relax above and below this area so that we can stand as straight as possible with the least amount of pain.

For each cause, there is a compensation. A muscle on the left went short, so a muscle on the right side of our body lengthened to compensate. These two muscles tell the brain where they are relative to the one constant we all share: Gravity. The brain now tells other muscles where to go in relation to these muscles so we can stand as straight as possible, with the most range of motion in each joint possible and with the least amount of pain.

Muscle Memory

With the MyoKinesthetic System, we are trying to find the cause and clear it so all the compensations will clear away, too.

This system is not Chiropractic. At no time do we manipulate or “pop” bones.

Instead, we go to work on the muscles. We stimulate each muscle along one nerve pathway.  We can treat the origin, insertion, belly, or all three, all will work because we’re looking for the nerve endings within the muscles to send a signal to the brain that says “there’s a change happening here.”

Once the brain receives this information and makes changes to it, we have then cleared the cause as well as the many compensatory adjustments by stimulating those muscles along the nerve. We’ve used “muscle memory” to our advantage. We have now become more balanced, with a greater range of motion, and a decreased level of pain that lasts.

Unique and Revolutionary

This is simply the most unique and revolutionary system and there is nothing else like it. The MyoKinesthetic System is the result of more than 15 years of hands-on research and development by Michael Uriarte D.C.

The MyoKinesthetic System …

  • Alleviates pain
  • Restores movement and function
  • Improves posture

The MyoKinesthetic System is known to alleviate:

  • Golfer’s Elbow,  Tennis Elbow,  Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Frozen Shoulder syndrome,   Lateral hip Pain
  • Achilles Tendonitis,   Deltoid Pain
  • Forearm Pain,   Ankle Flexion
  • Thigh (Quadricep) Pain,   Calf Pain
  • Hand Pain,   Lower Back Pain
  • Neck Pain,   Plantar Fasciitis
  • Rotator Cuff Problems,   Shoulder Pain
  • Sciatica,  Fibromyalgia,
  • Post-Surgery Discomfort,   Chemotherapy Side Effects
  • Constipation, Dizziness / Vertigo
  • Pectoralis Minor Syndrome
  • Knee Pain / Swollen Knee Headaches / Migraines

But the real beauty of the Myokinesthetic System is, it simple and it works quickly. You should see results almost immediately from just one 20- 25 minute session.

Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a dynamic, highly effective technique that has an immediate and powerful effect on muscle and connective tissue. STR is a combination of Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Massage, and Active Assisted Stretching. The technique involves applying precise pressure during a specific stretch performed in multiple planes of movement. The goal is to appeal to the autonomic nervous system in a way that leads to spontaneous release of the injured muscle, thus regaining the original resting length of that muscle. The result: fast and permanent reorganization of scar tissue, the targeted muscle(s) return to the proper resting length, muscle imbalances are corrected, associated pain is decreased or eliminated altogether, and muscle performance is improved. Results are often obtained quickly and permanently. These techniques can be applied to soft tissue injuries in both acute and chronic situations.

Who can benefit? STR is very effective on both acute pain and chronic pain. Clients injured in sports, at work, or with injuries incurred over time, can all benefit from STR.
