Due to the very varied nature of people and their pain, it is impossible to say exactly which modalities i will use or how long a person will take to get better, it changes from person to person. The most important aspect is the persons “‘will ” to heal and get better.
I was told the difference between being treated by a conventional doctor and a complementary therapist was:
When treated by a doctor, you give them the responsibility for your healing.
When treated by complementary medicine you take responsibility for your Own healing, guided by the therapist.
So, working together, in partnership, is a key part of the process.
The treatment: Men, you would wear sports shorts and ladies sports shorts and bra or body suit, swim wear also acceptable. The treatment is very gentle , no cracking, popping or crunching on my part. Together, we will decide on the best and fastest way forward on a session to session basis.

here is a rough guide to what usually happens:
Acute Problems .i.e. accident and injury trauma. The goal is to reduce the pain and create mobility to promote healing as quickly as possible. Most people get a 50% or more reduction of pain after the first treatment and then generally you would be looking at 2-3 thirty minute sessions in the first week depending on the injury.
Chronic or long term problems
When you are in consistent pain it is very seldom one problem, rather an accumulation of many, involving negative repetitive motion, bad posture, bad sleeping habits, bad diet and generally emotional issues, oh! and of course the key problem, no exercise……so, if you keep doing the same thing you will consistently get the same result!!
I have over many years put together a programme that I can customize to the individual, dealing with all the aforementioned factors, using a variety of modalities and techniques we can work together to rebalance the body and its systems to bring about long term health, happiness and well being.
It takes determination, commitment and persistence but the benefits far outweigh the effort. If you have the attitude, ” I am tired of living my life in discomfort and pain, tell me what to do and I will do it”, those people tend to progress almost miraculously.
The ‘programme’ works on the basis of simple achieveable steps, so that from one treatment to another there is tangible progress giving the motivation to keep going until the final goal is achieved.
